the world together to celebrate story India.
Our major colloquia and utsavs have catalyzed

community across India since 1991. Our civil society
activities include reading and storytelling workshops
for government schools, and for families and communities
at large. |

THE KATHA ADALAT was chaired by Shri Rajat Sharma.
Many of the issues raised by the communities’ representatives received
their replies from the Chif Minister’s office.
And action is on to take these forward so that
the larger good of the people of Delhi is achieved!
THANK YOU, SHEILAJI! |

Writing the city. Transforming
the city.
Seminars across 110 colleges and
universities were organized. Students were asked
to share
and discuss their experiences of their city.
From these, 300 students and 50 academics
were invited to participate in the deliberations
held at Delhi. We had 6,000 participants in the
CITY STORIES UTSAV. An open forum for dialogue,
it created space for the profit-for-all arena of
ideas. |

Exploring the basic pulse that runs
through us, two skilled musicians – an
Indian and the other French – executed
a fine sonic harmony with whirling pipes, shaking
springs and exotic drums to leave the audience spellbound
in an event titled: An Evening of Music on Lost
Traditions. Organized by Katha and CitiFinancial
at the Habitat’s amphitheatre on Oct 21, 2005,
this event featured performers Suchet Malhotra and
