Translate an English story into a regional language.

 

We are glad to have you as a participant in the Katha International Translation Contest.


Adjudication: A panel of eminent writers and academicians will judge the translations.


Conditions for Entry:-

  • The selected English story put up on our site can be translated into any Indian language. Click here to go to story.
  • All entries should be sent
      • on the online form.
      • by email to kathabooks@katha.org
      • by snail mail to Katha Translation Contest, A3 Katha Sarvodaya Enclave, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi 110017

•  Please send the translations either in text form or MS Word attachments only. Please ensure the attachments are absolutely virus free.
•  Please send the entries marked as The Katha International Translation Contest in the subject column for easy classification.
•  Please ensure you receive an acknowledgement of receipt from us.
•  The copyright for the winning translations will rest with Katha till the award winning story is published.
•  Entries will not be returned.
•  This entry form, duly filled in, must be sent along with the translation to us. Entries not accompanied by this form will not be accepted.
•  To ensure fair adjudication, as soon as an entry is received, it will be given a registration number. The name of the translator will be removed and thereafter, it will be referred to only by the number.
•  The last date of sending in the submissions is March 31, 2009.

  • The results of the contest will be announced two months from the last date for submission. No enquiries will be encouraged before this date.

•  Please ensure that you have read and accepted the conditions of entry and filled in all the details before sending in your translation.
