our teachers
More than 90 percent of our teachers have been with Katha for more than 12-14 years, in a day and age when even the best of schools see a large teacher attrition rate. And we proudly say we carry very little deadwood at Katha!
In Katha, teacher morale is way up mainly because our teachers have full freedom to plan their school lives. Team-led decisions are natural ways in which we cooperate, and the Faculty Clubs help actively in peer evaluations and peer-led learnings. Pedagogical autonomy has also meant that teachers have paved the way for greater self-learning. They use the internet quite confidently to hone their subject knowledge.
