RULES

We are glad to have you as a participant in the Katha International Translation Contest.

STORY TO TRANSLATE:  Alka Saraogi's story. download .pdf file.

Adjudication: The translations will be judged by a panel of eminent writers and academicians.

Conditions for Entry:

§         All entries should be sent via the internet/email to kathasethu@katha.org or  info@katha.org .
      Or to A3 Sarvodaya Enclave, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi 110 017.

§         Each entry must be a translation into English of the story offered for translation on our site.

§         Please send translations either in text form or MS Word attachments only. Please ensure the attachments are absolutely virus free.

§         Please send the entries marked as The Katha International Translation Contest in the subject column for easy classification.

§         Please ensure you receive an acknowledgement of receipt from us.

§         The copyright for the winning English translation will rest with Katha.

§         Entries will not be returned.

§         This entry form, duly filled in, must be sent along with the translation to us. Entries not accompanied by this form will not be accepted.

§         To ensure fair adjudication, as soon an entry is received, it will be given a registration number. The name of the translator will be removed and thereafter, it will be referred to only by the number.

§         The results of the contest will be announced by last week of January 2003. No enquiries will be encouraged before this date.

§         Please ensure that you have read and accepted the conditions of entry and filled in all the details before sending in your translation.
